Practicum

You must complete the entire online course prior to participating in the Practicum.

Groups will be limited to a minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 participants.

Please note: A minimum of 8 participants is required to run each Practicum. Should there not be enough participants registered, you will receive notification approximately 48 hours prior to reschedule. The cost of the Practicum is included in your registration fee for the course.

Cancellations

• If you are unable to attend the Practicum in which you are registered, you must cancel no later than 48 hours prior.
• Should you fail to attend the Practicum in which are were registered, you will have to pay an additional $50.00 fee. Should you fail to attend a second time, you will have to re-register in the course at a cost of $495 + GST.

Location

The Jacques Whitford-AXYS Laboratory in Calgary or Edmonton and some on-site visits at construction sites. Construction site location will be in the city that the course is offered and will be confirmed in the morning laboratory session. See laboratory addresses below.

Time

From 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 1.5 hour lunch break.

Required Equipment

For the on-site visit, please bring:

• Hard hat
• Steel toe work boots
• Reflective safety vest
